Gregorio Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Pello, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Diego Pello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gregorio Orlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Maureo got free with Paulino Jerrald in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florentino Maureo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Paulino Jerrald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Pello might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Orlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Pello ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Alonzo Dabi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gregorio Orlan. In the 19th minute Diego Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Jerrald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Lizer in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Holmberg's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Maureo came free, but Paulino Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yacanto's Gregorio Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Dabi in the 28th minute of play. Florentino Maureo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pastor Harkaitz's late challenge caught a Yacanto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pastor Harkaitz helped the player get up and apologised. Gregorio Orlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Pello went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Alonzo Dabi might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Orlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alonzo Dabi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute Diego Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alonzo Dabi to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Florentino Maureo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulino Jerrald was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Diego Pello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Gregorio Orlan made a huge save. When Alonzo Dabi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Holmberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Dabi couldn't finish the play. Diego Pello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregorio Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Dabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Diego Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Orlan having to interfere. After some careless play in the Holmberg defense, Everardo Lizer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulino Jerrald. The Holmberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulino Jerrald should have stopped the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
