Horacio Ted hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Mauro Tximitx was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Generoso Lano in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario Maiorga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Generoso Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quitilipi's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Lano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Maiorga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amador Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Loco in the 19th minute of play. Zacarias Lizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Chapanay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Aires came free, but Mario Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Chapanay FC got a freekick which was hit by Amador Dalmau. Zeledon Txatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Dalmau in the 38th minute of the match. Amador Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quitilipi's Generoso Lano got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Maiorga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Generoso Lano in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Hector Aires made the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when Chapanay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Cefero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Chapanay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Tximitx came free, but Mario Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernan Loco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Txatxu having to interfere. Rodolfo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Zeledon Txatxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Apolo Indalecio fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quitilipi's protests and gave Apolo Indalecio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Hector Aires made a precise shot to the right of Mario Maiorga. Chapanay FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.
