The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Ciénega's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Boni came free, but Benigno Laurentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Haroldo Boni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Laurentzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 11th minute, Haroldo Boni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carmelo Etxatxu struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Benigno Laurentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chosmes AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Miro in the 17th minute of play forced Chosmes AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Errando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Miro struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Fabio Errando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciénega. 25 minutes into the match, Chosmes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Miro came free, but Fabio Errando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Chosmes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Ekialde to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Ciénega's Simon Hulberto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chosmes AFC's zone, Vladimiro Miro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Errando came out of the goal and Vladimiro Miro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Haroldo Boni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Errando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Miro, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Vladimiro Miro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Haroldo Boni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
Fabio Errando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Miro, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Vladimiro Miro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Etxatxu in the 61st minute of play forced Ciénega's goalkeeper Benigno Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, one of Ciénega:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute Carmelo Etxatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benigno Laurentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Omar Ourente fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciénega's protests and gave Omar Ourente a yellow card for diving instead. Omar Ourente hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ciénega's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Carmelo Etxatxu scored to the left of an out of position Benigno Laurentzi, making the score, 0-3. Fabio Errando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Sandaili in the 83rd minute of play. Carmelo Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Benigno Laurentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Boni struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Benigno Laurentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chosmes AFC. In the 96th minute, Carmelo Etxatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Boni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ciénega supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chosmes AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Chosmes AFC.
