Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Elodio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Serafin Garaona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Furman in the 21st minute of the match. Elvio Raitin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Miguel Bemabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Arata's German Horado got control of the ball when Gregorio Haimar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregorio Haimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Godofredo Bermund came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Bermund couldn't finish the play. German Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Bermund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied.
