Eustaquio Sauveur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the game, Geronimo Estevez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rawson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hernández the free kick. Emiliano Lorencio shot from long distance in the 17th minute, but Ivan Tabor was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Felix Mikolas struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Eustaquio Sauveur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawson. 21 minutes into the match, Rawson's Felix Mikolas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustaquio Sauveur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Prospero Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hernández getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Julian Lorien hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Hernández defense, Hermengildo Urbez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Sauveur. The Hernández fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Sauveur should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hipolito Fortun to make the kick off. Prospero Brion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Sauveur having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Silvano Aresti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Prospero Brion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rawson's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Brion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustaquio Sauveur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Prospero Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Benjamin Crispo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rawson's Prospero Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rawson's Felix Mikolas managed to work through Hernández's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Felix Mikolas dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Prospero Brion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Eustaquio Sauveur made a huge save. Mariano Tulio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ivan Tabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Fortun in the 82nd minute of the match. Rawson's Prospero Brion got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Felix Mikolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
