After a defensive mix-up in Cacheuta FC's zone, Inocencio Fanuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Erruki came out of the goal and Inocencio Fanuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cacheuta FC's Eusebio Chucho got a free kick in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Cristian Fortun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tabay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cacheuta FC the free kick. Cristian Fortun hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Tabay FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Fortun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Neron in the 19th minute of play forced Tabay FC's goalkeeper Severo Ederono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Ciano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Tabay FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tiburcio Erruki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inocencio Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. When Hugo Rutenio fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacheuta FC's protests and gave Hugo Rutenio a yellow card for diving instead. Hugo Rutenio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Ciano got free with Tiburcio Erruki in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgard Neron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Severo Ederono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Tabay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Neron came free, but Severo Ederono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Edgard Neron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Rigoberto Ciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Ciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiburcio Erruki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiburcio Erruki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Fanuco, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th match minute, Cacheuta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Chucho to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Tabb was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Neron got free with Severo Ederono in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 71 minutes, Octavio Quilo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cacheuta FC and the Tabay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Octavio Quilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes, Tabay FC's Horacio Tabb shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiburcio Erruki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tabay FC reached it. In the 74th minute, Cayetano Su got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute Rigoberto Ciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Erruki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Fanuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
