Fabio Karlo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Enzo Esquipula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomero Magdaleno in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Librado saved Tacaaglé AFC from getting behind. Ubaldo Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Emilio Eriz made a huge save. Ubaldo Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Eriz having to interfere. In the 20th minute Fabio Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Librado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermegildo Padro during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Ezequiel Hartz fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formosa FC's protests and gave Ezequiel Hartz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Formosa FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ezequiel Hartz hit a great ball. In the 31st match minute, Formosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Cheche to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 35 minutes, Baldomero Magdaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomero Magdaleno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Tacaaglé AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Bazkoare to maneuver through the defense. Elias Gustau, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Gorka in the 42nd minute of play forced Formosa FC's goalkeeper Emilio Eriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Emilio Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Karlo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leo Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Karlo in the 52nd minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Tacaaglé AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Karlo came free, but Leo Librado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ubaldo Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Valente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilio Eriz. Formosa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Valente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Orlando Bibiano charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Victoriano Patrido's late challenge caught a Formosa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Patrido helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Formosa FC booed when Tacaaglé AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tacaaglé AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Formosa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
