If Baldomero Magdaleno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nemesio Cai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Emilio Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Karlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Magdaleno came free, but Pedro Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Saavedra's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baldomero Magdaleno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fabio Karlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Nesor having to interfere. If Patricio Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the game, Nemesio Cai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Emilio Eriz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Loren in the 38th minute of play forced Formosa FC's goalkeeper Emilio Eriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Saavedra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Hug to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Nesor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Elias Gustau. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Patricio Araoz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emilio Eriz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aristides Loren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Emilio Eriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Fabio Karlo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Karlo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Karlo came free, but Pedro Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ermegildo Padro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Formosa FC's Emilio Eriz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Cai in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Baldomero Magdaleno made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Nesor. Saavedra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Baldomero Magdaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Formosa FC's Baldomero Magdaleno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Nesor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 86th minute Fabio Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Nemesio Cai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saavedra's supporters rose to their feet, but Nemesio Cai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Eriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geronimo Cheche hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saavedra players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Formosa FC.
