Basilio Lorencio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Gregorio Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Ovando in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Gregorio Ovando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Rioja. Salsipuedes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Ovando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 16th minute, Gregorio Ovando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Günther AFC's Gregorio Ovando dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Dante Rioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Eugenio Larra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Rafel hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Stephen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Günther AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eustaquio Naelio hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Günther AFC's Fernan Sugoi got a free kick in the 34th minute. Salsipuedes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximiliano Stephen in the 37th minute. If Gregorio Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Tauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Firmin having to interfere. Eugenio Larra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Tauro was the one to do the kick off. Dante Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Rafel in the 52nd minute of play. Fabian Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Tauro in the 56th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Gregorio Ovando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Christian Tauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Firmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eugenio Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Larra couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Günther AFC's zone, Christian Tauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Firmin came out of the goal and Christian Tauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Aquilino Rafel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Günther AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Sugoi. After having played for 86 minutes, Christian Tauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salsipuedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Tauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Rioja didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregorio Ovando went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Günther AFC's Fabian Firmin got control of the ball when Eugenio Larra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salsipuedes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
