Andres Jacindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristides Iaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evelio Txomin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Txomin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Evelio Txomin hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Aristides Iaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugenio Larra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Elpidio Odol made a huge save. After some careless play in the Obanta AFC defense, Eugenio Larra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Odol. The Obanta AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Odol should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Salsipuedes's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Iaki came free, but Dante Rioja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Rioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Iaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Obanta AFC's Andres Jacindo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Elpidio Odol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Jacindo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Obanta AFC's Aristides Iaki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Rioja. Dante Rioja yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Andres Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Tauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Odol having to interfere. Aristides Iaki struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dante Rioja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obanta AFC. Dante Rioja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Jacindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Dante Rioja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristides Iaki in the 75th minute. Christian Tauro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Odol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Christian Tauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Odol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Salsipuedes's Christian Tauro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Odol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Salsipuedes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Obanta AFC for a fine match.
