The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Theodore in the 6th minute of play forced Sunchal's goalkeeper Paulino Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sunchal's zone, Saturnino Maxin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Ralondo came out of the goal and Saturnino Maxin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Maxin in the 20th minute of play forced Sunchal's goalkeeper Paulino Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Sunchal's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Theodore came free, but Paulino Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Ralondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Theodore, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jimeno Gamus hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Apolo Lapurdi's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Paulino Ralondo on his right side and into the goal. 31 minutes into the game it was 0-1. In the 39th minute, Arnulfo Bastia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 played minutes Cuipán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Lapurdi. Sunchal's Gregorio Aresti couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cuipán AFC. Apolo Lapurdi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulino Ralondo. Sunchal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saturnino Maxin made a kick off. Paulino Ralondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Maxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Fermin Gau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorio Velasco. Cuipán AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Gau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 65th play minutes Saturnino Maxin shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Paulino Ralondo and just under the crossbar into goal. Celestino Cordairo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72ndth minute of the game Fermin Gau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuipán AFC's Honorio Velasco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Fermin Gau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sunchal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Honorio Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriana Dominic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Ralondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Maxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Adriana Dominic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Sunchal's Delmiro Iratze seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Delmiro Iratze the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sunchal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Delmiro Iratze had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The Sunchal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cuipán AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cuipán AFC.
