In the 10th minute of the match Americo Ioritz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cleto Pepillo skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Mauricio Eli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Eli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cleto Pepillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Palmitas AFC's Romeo Quin got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Americo Ioritz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Puerta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Americo Ioritz couldn't finish the play. Mauricio Eli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Mauricio Eli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Pepillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Enzo Galindo made a precise shot to the right of Cleto Pepillo. Palmitas AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. With his leg Cleto Pepillo managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Puerta FC's Enzo Galindo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Enzo Galindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cleto Pepillo having to make a save. If Mauricio Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cleto Pepillo stood somewhat misplaced when Mauricio Eli came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 38 minute. Puerta FC's Mauricio Eli got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mauricio Eli made the kick off in the second half. Palmitas AFC's Ramon Indar got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victoriano Herena's late challenge caught a Palmitas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Herena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Julio Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Julio Raebert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victoriano Herena was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. In the 61st match minute, Puerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Herena to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Iztal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramon Indar in the 63rd minute. When Julio Raebert came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Palmitas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Raebert couldn't finish the play. Cleto Pepillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Galindo in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Raebert in the 76th minute of play forced Puerta FC's goalkeeper Luciano Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Iztal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Julio Raebert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
