Eustaquio Itzaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ayacucho's Silverio Indalecio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Raymon in the 7th minute of play. When Gualeguaychú AFC's Cesar Raymon in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ayacucho's goalie prevented a goal. Gualeguaychú AFC's Eustaquio Itzaina got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Epifanio Richie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ivan Llorienzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silverio Indalecio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Raymon's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Cleto Stephen charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Stephen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Cleto Stephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Raymon was the one to do the kick off. Aaron Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Nisio in the 54th minute of play. Desiderio Maxin kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Gualeguaychú AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Nisio came free, but Ivan Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Benicio Dominix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Indalecio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Indalecio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Dominix in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Nisio in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Llorienzo saved Gualeguaychú AFC from getting behind. Cleto Stephen got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho's Cleto Stephen got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Raymon in the 81st minute of play forced Ayacucho's goalkeeper Silverio Indalecio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Epifanio Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silverio Indalecio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Raymon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Ayacucho's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Raymon came free, but Silverio Indalecio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes, Aaron Nisio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ayacucho and the Gualeguaychú AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Ayacucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Nisio to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
