Encrucijada AFC's Alvaro Hulberto suffered a sore thigh after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tilisarao's Severino Patrido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Tilisarao from getting a goal against them. Fabio Jerold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Encrucijada AFC's zone, Faustino Camerino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Kismi came out of the goal and Faustino Camerino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Jerold struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Fernando Kismi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tilisarao. The audience was convinced that Faustino Camerino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Kismi was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Jerold in the 33rd minute of play forced Encrucijada AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Kismi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Kismi having to interfere. The supporters of Tilisarao booed when Encrucijada AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Maju didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Camerino in the 38th minute of play. If Faustino Camerino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Aurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fabio Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tilisarao's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Jerold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Kismi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Tilisarao's Ambrosio Toro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ambrosio Toro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tilisarao protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ambrosio Toro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th minute, one of Tilisarao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tilisarao. Nestor Marques shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Severino Patrido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Aurre in the 60th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Tilisarao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Camerino to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute of the match Nestor Marques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Patrido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lucio Aurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Tilisarao got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Iratzeder. Fernando Kismi made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Fabio Jerold sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd match minute, Encrucijada AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Marques to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Kismi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 85th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ruben Fidensio. Severino Patrido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Aurre in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Tilisarao got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Iratzeder. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tilisarao's goalkeeper Severino Patrido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tilisarao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
