In the 22ndth minute of the game Ceferino Eder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Incahuasi FC's Gavino Baudelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute, Ceferino Eder made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Baudelio. Incahuasi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Eustacio Cresitobalo fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Incahuasi FC's protests and gave Eustacio Cresitobalo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Santurce FC booed when Incahuasi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Cresitobalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Arturo Berbiz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Incahuasi FC's Gavino Baudelio didn't even have to move. Gavino Baudelio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Qwinton went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 39 minutes in the game, Armando Gilabert fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mateo Maule having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Armando Gilabert fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mateo Maule, passed just outside the right post.

Armando Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejandro Ofelio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavino Baudelio. Incahuasi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute, Eustacio Cresitobalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adolfo Qwinton came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Santurce FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Qwinton couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the game, Moises Eufrasio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santurce FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Incahuasi FC the free kick. The supporters of Incahuasi FC booed when Santurce FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Costante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Maule having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Gilabert in the 72nd minute of play forced Santurce FC's goalkeeper Mateo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Armando Gilabert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Maule was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Adolfo Qwinton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Baudelio having to make a save. Gavino Baudelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Qwinton in the 81st minute of the match. Federico Caton might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Baudelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Caton ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 91 minutes, Rigoberto Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Incahuasi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Costante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Santurce FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santurce FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
