Emilio Sotero hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Cienaguita's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abelardo Juvenal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 28th minute, Beltrán's Aureliano Jenaro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 35th minute, Lisandro Fidele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Abelardo Juvenal in the 39th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Arnoldo Perico kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Pacorro in the 44th minute of play forced Beltrán's goalkeeper Higinio Ferran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Roque Costante made the kick off in the second half. Higinio Ferran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roque Costante in the 52nd minute. Roque Costante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Pacorro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Higinio Ferran made a huge save. Arnoldo Perico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Jenaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Abelardo Juvenal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Perico having to interfere. Benicio Mederi's late challenge caught a Cienaguita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Mederi helped the player get up and apologised. Cienaguita's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
