Patricio Frascuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Selmo having to interfere. Roberto Hori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Filiberto Bernal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Jorge Emeterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Richie in the 19th minute of the match. Roberto Hori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Filiberto Bernal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Frascuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Salagasta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Argina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Bernal having to interfere. When Cristian Argina came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Salagasta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Argina couldn't finish the play. Roberto Hori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes, Denis Panpili mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caitaco AFC and the Salagasta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caitaco AFC! After a defensive mix-up in Caitaco AFC's zone, Jorge Emeterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Bernal came out of the goal and Jorge Emeterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Caitaco AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Salagasta FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Richie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Patricio Frascuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Salagasta FC's Jorge Emeterio got a free kick in the 64th minute. Caitaco AFC's Filiberto Bernal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Caitaco AFC from getting a goal against them. Hector Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Richie in the 78th minute of the match. Cristo Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Selmo having to interfere. Hector Selmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristo Richie's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Hector Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Richie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Caitaco AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Salagasta FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Salagasta FC.
