The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Santillán fans' excitement grew in the 2nd match minute when Santillán's Joaquin Berenguer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vladimiro Eztebe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Berenguer went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Domingos Pitins short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Valentin Gonzo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Simon Munio might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimiro Eztebe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Munio ran back to his position shaking his head. After 20 played minutes, Santillán's Eustaquio Lico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vladimiro Eztebe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santillán reached it. 27 minutes into the game, Joaquin Berenguer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santillán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Medina FC the free kick. The supporters of Medina FC booed when Santillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Berenguer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Manuel Aballe rounded Santillán's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After the first half Santillán were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquin Berenguer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fermin Illart hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Santillán's Joaquin Berenguer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimiro Eztebe. Vladimiro Eztebe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 61 minutes into the match, Santillán's Joaquin Berenguer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimiro Eztebe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Aballe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingos Pitin might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Gonzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Pitin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute, Simon Munio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jimeno Kiliz kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Vladimiro Eztebe made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Simon Munio sent off a good shot on target. Valentin Gonzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Etxepare in the 92nd minute of play. Valentin Gonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Pitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Medina FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Eztebe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Munio. The Medina FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Santillán's performance. The match ended with a win for Santillán.
