The supporters of Tobuna booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Bazkoare didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Tobuna's Filomeno Orixe broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Tobuna booed when Mercedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Cordarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Tobuna's Adolfo Fero got control of the ball when Generoso Cordarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Tobuna's Jeremias Ritchie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Senio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A wasted opportunity for Tobuna. 18 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Veremundo came free, but Serafin Senio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Veremundo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Veremundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hector Veremundo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Arturo Lehoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 26 in the game by Generoso Cordarius from a close distance when the talented Adolfo Fero managed to make a qualified save. Tobuna's players were relieved. Tobuna's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arturo Lehoi 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Generoso Cordarius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Adolfo Fero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Lehoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Fero having to interfere. With a little luck, Tobuna's Adolfo Fero got control of the ball when Generoso Cordarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Ritchie to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Veremundo got free with Serafin Senio in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Hector Veremundo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Senio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Generoso Cordarius came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mercedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Cordarius couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goalkeeper Serafin Senio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Veremundo. In the 68th minute of the match, Hector Veremundo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Serafin Senio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A nice corner shot did that Filomeno Orixe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Serafin Senio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dalmacio Pabla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Senio having to interfere. If Hector Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prudencio Bazkoare's late challenge caught a Tobuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Bazkoare helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mercedes's Prudencio Bazkoare got a free kick in the 84th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Hector Veremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Veremundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prudencio Bazkoare kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Tobuna's Filomeno Orixe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mercedes. Tobuna's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
