The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baldomero Pirro hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Felix Valerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Elija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Madryn AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Nuxila came free, but Horacio Admon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Cornelio Nuxila made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Admon. Madryn AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Leonel Gonsalve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Madryn AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balderrama the free kick. After a rather tough play, Madryn AFC's Leonel Gonsalve got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Madryn AFC's Horacio Admon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Nuxila in the 26th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Felix Valerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes, Carlos Enaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balderrama and the Madryn AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Madryn AFC booed when Balderrama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Enaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorio Eusko struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Angelino Elija didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madryn AFC. Felix Valerio succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Felix Valerio made the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Sagrario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Elija having to interfere. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Balderrama! In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Madryn AFC. Artemio Mincho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelino Elija. 2-1. Cornelio Nuxila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Valerio in the 67th minute of play forced Balderrama's goalkeeper Angelino Elija to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Locaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Admon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Madryn AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Victorio Eusko hit a great ball. Javier Locaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Javier Locaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Javier Locaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Admon having to interfere. With his leg Horacio Admon managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Balderrama's Javier Locaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Javier Locaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 97 minutes, Cornelio Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balderrama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Nuxila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Madryn AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
