Faustino Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Gonchan having to interfere. Anzoátegui's Higinio Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Seber in the 65th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Gabriel Pasqual mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anzoátegui and the Espeleta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Gabriel Pasqual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Higinio Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Seber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faustino Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Gonchan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. The Espeleta players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Anzoátegui from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
