Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lino Rosalio started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Atahona FC's zone, Primitivo Afonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Txurio came out of the goal and Primitivo Afonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Primitivo Afonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aurelio Enaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 minutes of play, Atahona FC's Ismael Sazon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Enaut was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Primitivo Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Porvenir AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Americo Caton was slow to take the kick. During this time Atahona FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Atahona FC's corner Americo Caton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelio Enaut quite easily take care of the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Urbano Espiridion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porvenir AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atahona FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Porvenir AFC's Urbano Espiridion got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Ismael Sazon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porvenir AFC's Aurelio Enaut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lino Rosalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Lino Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Enaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Lino Rosalio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atahona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Atahona FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Primitivo Afonso to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Lino Rosalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Primitivo Afonso made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Txurio. Atahona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 59 minutes, Primitivo Afonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porvenir AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Afonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Fe during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atahona FC's Nicolas Fe got a free kick in the 65th minute. Filomeno Txurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Afonso in the 71st minute of play. In the 82nd minute Florentino Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Txurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Afonso in the 84th minute of play forced Atahona FC's goalkeeper Filomeno Txurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Lino Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atahona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Rosalio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Enaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Rosalio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Aurelio Enaut 89 minutes into the match. Atahona FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
