After a defensive mix-up in Abbott FC's zone, Ciriaco Goi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Macias came out of the goal and Ciriaco Goi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute Rolando Ostargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Abechuco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute of the match Rolando Elia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Poz skillfully saved the ball. 29 minutes in the game, Rolando Ostargi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Teobaldo Macias having to interfere. Rolando Ostargi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobaldo Macias having to make a save. A collision led to Abbott FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Guaberto Aureo hit a great ball. David Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Poz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Vela in the 47th minute of play. If David Vela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Ostargi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, David Vela tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Poz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Isaias Mede charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaias Mede the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Miranda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! After 68 minutes Miranda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guaberto Aureo who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Miranda's goalie and right to Blas Lando. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Miranda's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ciriaco Goi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amador Abaurre charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 76th match minute, Miranda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Abaurre to maneuver through the defense. Teobaldo Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Goi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Ciriaco Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Miranda got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Chucho. Carmelo Transito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Poz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Abbott FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
