Edelmiro Lastur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filiberto Feliz struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Edelmiro Lastur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montoya AFC. Belgrano AFC's Edelmiro Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Feliz in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, one of Belgrano AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Montoya AFC's Arnulfo Fanuco got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Filiberto Feliz sped through Belgrano AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edelmiro Lastur. Victorio Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Paio in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Vincente saved Montoya AFC from getting behind. Filiberto Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Filiberto Feliz made a precise shot to the right of Edelmiro Lastur. Belgrano AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Arnulfo Fanuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Silvio Vincente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquin Paio to strike the kick off in the second half. After recieving a nice pass, Belgrano AFC's Christian Lluis tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Silvio Vincente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Socorro's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Joaquin Paio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Candido Arnalt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some careless play in the Belgrano AFC defense, Arnulfo Fanuco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Lastur. The Belgrano AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Lastur should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Montoya AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
