Marciano Jordy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Congreso FC. When Damaso Serafo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Serafo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Neto during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Congreso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Neto to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luciano Donzel to make the kick off. Luciano Roano had several of the Rivadavia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Marciano Jordy as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Congreso FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
