Virgilio Azibar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Cleto Orti almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cora's Bernardo Iratze did a great save. Sergio Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Dayam in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Dayam in the 20th minute of play forced Panaolma's goalkeeper Sergio Constancio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panaolma's Gabriel Balasi got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Cora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Ongile to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Balasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Iratze having to interfere. Sergio Constancio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Dayam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Dayam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sergio Constancio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Dayam to make the kick off. The supporters of Cora booed when Panaolma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Martxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Constancio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Dayam, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute.
