The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Lino Viviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Enekoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Lalla charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Lalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Carrodilla FC booed when Palmas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Fonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Sadurni in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Lino Viviano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Mingo in the 14th minute of play forced Carrodilla FC's goalkeeper Leonides Enekoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Benjamin Cordera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Benjamin Cordera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Fonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Palmas AFC's zone, Benjamin Cordera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Fonso came out of the goal and Benjamin Cordera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes of play Palmas AFC's Jaime Lalla was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jaime Lalla kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Benjamin Cordera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Carrodilla FC's zone, Severiano Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Enekoitz came out of the goal and Severiano Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Sadurni was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Palmas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Checa to maneuver through the defense. Palmas AFC's Severiano Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Severiano Checa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonides Enekoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Severiano Checa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Leonides Enekoitz made a huge save. Lino Viviano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Leonides Enekoitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Checa in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Justino Aires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Carrodilla FC booed when Palmas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Mingo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Fonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Cordera in the 85th minute of the match. Lino Viviano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Palmas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Dubardo. Many of Palmas AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Palmas AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Carrodilla FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
