When Freddy Baleren came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Facundo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Baleren couldn't finish the play. 5 minutes into the match, Amado Fidensio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustino Lia. Icaño AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Fidensio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Epifanio Cordarryl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ruperto Inguma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Aimar made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 13thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ruperto Inguma would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. With his leg Ruperto Inguma managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Icaño AFC's Edgardo Aimar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ruperto Inguma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Amado Fidensio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Facundo FC's Freddy Baleren in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Freddy Baleren kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amado Fidensio to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Edgardo Aimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icaño AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Urbez's late challenge caught a Facundo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Urbez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Facundo FC booed when Icaño AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Baleren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Lia having to interfere. Lucio Baumar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Aimar in the 80th minute of play forced Facundo FC's goalkeeper Ruperto Inguma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Facundo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Baumar came free, but Ruperto Inguma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Edgardo Aimar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 minutes of play Facundo FC's Jorge Iigo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Icaño AFC booed when Facundo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Cresencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Facundo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icaño AFC the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Osvaldo Cresencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Icaño AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Edgardo Aimar hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Lucio Baumar put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ruperto Inguma. Despite being the better team, Facundo FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
