Mickey Beckwith made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Teodosio Loco sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Irreverentes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angel Sergi was slow to take the kick. During this time Calderón's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Angel Sergi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Irreverentes's Mickey Beckwith did a great save. Mickey Beckwith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Ourente in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Benedicto Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Beckwith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Quico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jorge Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Calderón's zone, Delmiro Montay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Ovando came out of the goal and Delmiro Montay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedicto Ourente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Artemio Erasto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benedicto Ourente was extremely unlucky when he, in the 48th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmiro Montay to make the kick off. Benedicto Ourente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Calderón's Artemio Erasto got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Robustiano Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. Irreverentes's Mickey Beckwith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Erasto in the 66th minute of play. If Robustiano Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Erasto might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickey Beckwith. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artemio Erasto ran back to his position shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Irreverentes's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Erasto came free, but Mickey Beckwith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickey Beckwith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Ourente in the 74th minute of play. Benedicto Ourente struck a weak shot in the 77th minute.
