Guadalajara's Guillermo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Eufrasio in the 26th minute of play. If Raimundo Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39thth minute of the game Raimundo Dino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Famatanca's Godfredo Harriet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th match minute, Famatanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Eufrasio to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd match minute, Guadalajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Goren to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Famatanca defense, Omar Lope kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godfredo Harriet. The Famatanca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godfredo Harriet should have stopped the shot.

Guadalajara's Guillermo Galindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Guadalajara from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Gonsalvo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfredo Harriet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Braulio Ermano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Famatanca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. 64 minutes into the game, Guadalajara's Martin Gonsalvo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godfredo Harriet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Martin Gonsalvo put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Godfredo Harriet. 73 minutes into the match, Famatanca's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Dino came free, but Godfredo Harriet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match Guadalajara got a corner. Famatanca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martin Gonsalvo ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Dino in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godfredo Harriet saved Famatanca from getting behind. Elias Eufrasio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Guillermo Galindo made a huge save. Raimundo Dino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Harriet having to make a save. When Guadalajara's Edgard Cheche in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Godfredo Harriet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Lope in the 94th minute of play forced Famatanca's goalkeeper Godfredo Harriet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Saul Flor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Dino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Godfredo Harriet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Guadalajara had played much better football throughout.
