In the 50th minute of the match, Edgardo Fornos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Prado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rony Flores stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rony Flores in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Odir Melendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Mena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
