The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pablo Alvarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Dubon scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvaro Ramirez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mariano Dubon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Pablo Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Dubon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Alvaro Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Preston AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Dubon came free, but Alvaro Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Jonathan Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Preston AFC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Corpeño. The supporters of Cheadle City booed when Preston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Magaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Mariano Dubon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheadle City's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Dubon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Ramirez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Preston AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Camilo García hit a great ball. If Mariano Dubon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Dubon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alvaro Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Alexander Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Misael Medina in the 52nd minute of play. Efren Murgas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Fernandez having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Cheadle City got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Alas. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cheadle City's goalkeeper Alexander Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Misael Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alexander Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Pablo Corrales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cheadle City booed when Preston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo García didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Preston AFC's goalkeeper Alvaro Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Alvarado. Mariano Dubon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Cheadle City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alvaro Ramirez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Dubon, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The supporters of Cheadle City booed when Preston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Magaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Pablo Corrales in the 87th minute really tested Alvaro Ramirez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 93rd minute, Pablo Alvarado made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Ramirez. Preston AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When the match was over Cheadle City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Preston AFC throughout the match.
