Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Roberto Osorio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With his leg Roberto Osorio managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Petworth's Giovani Bustamante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roberto Osorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Pérez, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The supporters of Petworth booed when Stamford City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Coreas didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Aguilar shot from long distance in the 47th minute, but Roberto Osorio was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

In the 89th match minute, Stamford City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Barraza to maneuver through the defense. Victorino Rojas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Del Carmen in the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Petworth got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Pérez. After having played for 96 minutes, Gilberto Del Carmen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Del Carmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
