Pablo Cetino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Fornos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efren Espindola in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Macclesfield defense, Pablo Cetino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Fornos. The Macclesfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Fornos should have stopped the shot. Alejandro Gamero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Murgas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Gamero in the 45th minute of play forced Sudbury AFC's goalkeeper Victor Murgas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sudbury AFC's Pablo Cetino got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Gamero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Efren Espindola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Macclesfield's goalkeeper Alberto Fornos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Cetino. Alberto Fornos was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Pablo Cetino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Cetino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Macclesfield's Alberto Fornos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efren Espindola in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Sudbury AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Enrique Gomez hit a great ball. Macclesfield's Dagoberto Giron couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sudbury AFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Cetino got free with Alberto Fornos in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victor Murgas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Pérez in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Amilcar Salazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Macclesfield's goal looked a bit too open when Efren Espindola came free, but Alberto Fornos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Macclesfield's Alberto Fornos got control of the ball when Pablo Cetino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Pérez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Murgas having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sudbury AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
