Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Whitby's Félix Barraza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mauro Paz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Antonio Melendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Mauro Paz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bow FC's Antonio Melendez. Antonio Melendez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roberto Pedrozo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Saul Contrera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Whitby's Félix Barraza got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Christian Contrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Pinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Saul Contrera. Whitby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Félix Barraza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Esteban Oporto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Contrera was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Bow FC's Camilo Ramos got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Mauro Paz came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Whitby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Paz couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Félix Barraza in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Melendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Leopoldo Murgas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Bow FC's Rolando Pinho tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 55th minute Roberto Pedrozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Contrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Félix Barraza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Melendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bow FC's Antonio Melendez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Bow FC from getting a goal against them. If Mauro Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Félix Barraza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Melendez having to make a save. With a little luck, Bow FC's Antonio Melendez got control of the ball when Mauro Paz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esteban Oporto scored 1-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saul Contrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roberto Pedrozo scored 2-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saul Contrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Whitby booed when Bow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Hidalgo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Whitby's zone, Roberto Pedrozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Contrera came out of the goal and Roberto Pedrozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Camilo Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bow FC's protests and gave Camilo Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Esteban Oporto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Paz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bow FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
