Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Raúl Zapata made the kick off which started today's match. Alexis Barquero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Edgardo Bustamante made a huge save. In the 7th minute, Mariano Peña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edwin Braun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Najarro's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Barquero got free with Edgardo Bustamante in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgardo Bustamante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Zapata in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Mariano Peña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honiton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hayling Island the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Honiton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Peña to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Braun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Najarro in the 16th minute of play. If Raúl Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hayling Island's goalkeeper Edgardo Bustamante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Hurtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Braun having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, Salvador Najarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hayling Island's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Najarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edwin Braun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Hurtado in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Salvador Najarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hayling Island's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Najarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Ruiz's late challenge caught a Honiton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Ruiz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Hayling Island was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Ruiz to maneuver through the defense. Hayling Island's Edgardo Bustamante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Hayling Island from getting a goal against them. After the first half Hayling Island were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
53 minutes into the match, Honiton's goal looked a bit too open when David Hurtado came free, but Edwin Braun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Najarro struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Edwin Braun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hayling Island. Honiton's Alexis Barquero got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Raúl Zapata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Bustamante was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Edgardo Bustamante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Zapata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Honiton's zone, Salvador Najarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Braun came out of the goal and Salvador Najarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th match minute, Honiton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Gamero to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Paolo Medina in the 66th minute really tested Edwin Braun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Edwin Braun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Hurtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edwin Braun made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Salvador Najarro sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Honiton getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Raúl Zapata hit a great ball. Edgardo Bustamante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Barquero in the 79th minute of play. Honiton's Edwin Braun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Hurtado in the 89th minute of play. David Hurtado struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Edwin Braun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hayling Island. Mariano Peña got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Honiton getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Mariano Peña hit a great ball.
