Newcastle-under-Lyme's Hugo Hidalgo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Newcastle-under-Lyme from getting a goal against them. Alonso Corpeño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Elias Villatoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Villatoro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Victorino's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Hugo Hidalgo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ovidio Viscarra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Swanmore's Primitivo Ochoa got a free kick in the 21st minute. Marcelo Del Cid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Hugo Hidalgo made a huge save. Ovidio Viscarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Hidalgo having to interfere. A collision led to Swanmore getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Claudio Garay hit a great ball. In the 37th minute of the match Edgar Escalante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elias Villatoro skillfully saved the ball. Alonso Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Orlando Victorino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newcastle-under-Lyme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Victorino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Viscarra made a kick off. Alvaro Victorino kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Elias Villatoro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Swanmore's Hugo Mondragon got a free kick in the 64th minute. Alonso Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Swanmore's Elias Villatoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonso Corpeño in the 69th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Swanmore got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Garay. Rolando Sifon kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Newcastle-under-Lyme's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 78th minute of the game, when Edgar Escalante after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Swanmore's goal. Edgar Escalante was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. A collision led to Swanmore getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jhonnatan Del Carmen hit a great ball. Alonso Corpeño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Villatoro having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Swanmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Ochoa to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Escalante made a great header on Newcastle-under-Lyme's corner, it was just that Swanmore's Elias Villatoro managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 89th minute, Swanmore's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Orlando Victorino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marcelo Del Cid struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Hugo Hidalgo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swanmore.
