Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Augusto Verdugo kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Rojas in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteban Madariaga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jaime Rojas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Osorio kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Baltazar Fuentes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Verdugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Rico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Verdugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Rico got free with Esteban Madariaga in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Hugo Rico could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Esteban Madariaga however easily saved by the left post. Hugo Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Madariaga having to interfere. Leonel Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Fuentes in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Crystal Palace FC booed when Horley AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Verdugo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Baltazar Fuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horley AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltazar Fuentes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jaime Rojas made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Leonel Rico managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Horley AFC's Baltazar Fuentes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Crystal Palace FC's Leonel Rico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Verdugo in the 62nd minute of play. Diego Castaneda charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Castaneda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Diego Castaneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Crystal Palace FC's goalkeeper Leonel Rico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Fuentes. Baltazar Fuentes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonel Rico came out and tried to block the shot, but Baltazar Fuentes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 64th minute. Esteban Madariaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute, Hector Quijada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78thth minute of the game Augusto Verdugo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crystal Palace FC's Leonel Rico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hugo Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Madariaga having to interfere. Horley AFC's Esteban Madariaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Rico in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Horley AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Humberto Campos was slow to take the kick. During this time Crystal Palace FC's players had a chance to rest.
