Marden's Yasir Mendoza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Marden from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Dagoberto Melendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yasir Mendoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Palencia during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Marden got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Palencia. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Gilberto Hidalgo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gilberto Hidalgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Yasir Mendoza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 97thth minute of the game Jorge Barquero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Howden United's Esteban Suarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Marden players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Howden United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
