If Adolfo Olmedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes, Libardo Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boston and the Bridgwater AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Libardo Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boston! If Victor Corpeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Corpeño in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Victor Corpeño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Corpeño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolfo Olmedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cristian Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Corpeño in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Barraza in the 44th minute of play forced Boston's goalkeeper Mauro Alas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benji Magaña stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauro Alas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benji Magaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Emerson Barraza's late challenge caught a Boston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Barraza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Bridgwater AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Barraza to maneuver through the defense. Bridgwater AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Adolfo Olmedo scored to the left of an out of position Cristian Moreno, making the score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Bridgwater AFC's Carmelo Quintanilla got a free kick in the 59th minute. Victor Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmelo Quintanilla hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Alejandro Sosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cristian Moreno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Olmedo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. If Alejandro Sosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bridgwater AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Boston had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
