Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Angel Fornos made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Redruth's zone, Deris Vinosis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Bermudez came out of the goal and Deris Vinosis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Bermudez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Garay went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Garay in the 9th minute of play forced Redruth's goalkeeper Christian Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Adolfo Escalante managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redruth's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Escalante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Ocampo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Redruth's Christian Bermudez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deris Vinosis in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Atherstone booed when Redruth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Mora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deris Vinosis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Fornos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Deris Vinosis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Redruth getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Orlando Mora hit a great ball. Odir Gutierrez hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Christian Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joselito Gallardo in the 39th minute of play. Edgar Garay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Bermudez having to interfere. Arturo Ocampo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Escalante in the 49th minute.
Atherstone's Arturo Ocampo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Fornos in the 75th minute of play. Angel Fornos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Angel Fornos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deris Vinosis struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Christian Bermudez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atherstone. Deris Vinosis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Bermudez having to interfere. Odir Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Redruth's Adolfo Escalante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Ocampo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Redruth getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Oscar Hidalgo hit a great ball. The Atherstone supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atherstone would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
