Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ovidio Galdamez kicked off to start the match. If Gabriel Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Menjivar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Ramirez in the 7th minute. When Primitivo Lara came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sudbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Mariano Ruiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Leguizamon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Oporto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Yeovil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Rivera to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Primitivo Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sudbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Primitivo Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Menjivar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emerson Leguizamon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yeovil FC's Rolando Menjivar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Lara in the 29th minute of play. Yasir Zepeda's late challenge caught a Yeovil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yasir Zepeda helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sudbury getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Yasir Zepeda hit a great ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sudbury's goalkeeper Emiliano Oporto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gabriel Ramirez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rolando Menjivar made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Sudbury's Yasir Zepeda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Menjivar. That made the score 1-1 after 41 minutes of play. Primitivo Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Emiliano Oporto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Galdamez in the 53rd minute of play. Yasir Zepeda was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th minute, Ovidio Galdamez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emerson Leguizamon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Oporto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Gabriel Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
