Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jairo Moreno started the match with the kick off. Amilcar Melendez struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Carmelo Muñoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nailsworth. After a defensive mix-up in Horfield's zone, Leonel Ancheta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Muñoz came out of the goal and Leonel Ancheta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amilcar Melendez in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carmelo Muñoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Nailsworth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Horfield:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Ancheta got free with Carmelo Muñoz in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carmelo Muñoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amilcar Melendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes Horfield got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Asad. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amilcar Melendez in the 35th minute of play forced Horfield's goalkeeper Carmelo Muñoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Pedrozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Efren Barraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Efren Barraza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Pedrozo went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amilcar Melendez was the one to do the kick off. Carmelo Muñoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amilcar Melendez in the 51st minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Horfield! The referee gave Nailsworth a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paolo Ribeiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Horfield's Carmelo Muñoz. 3-2. After a rather tough play, Nailsworth's Benjamín Castaneda got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Jairo Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efren Barraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Nailsworth's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Moreno came free, but Efren Barraza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mauro Pedrozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nailsworth fans cheered their team off the field, for while Horfield had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
