Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Fernandez started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernandez in the 3rd minute of play forced Guanaja Islanders's goalkeeper Juan Leiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Guanaja Islanders's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernandez came free, but Juan Leiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Saul Pimentel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Urtzi in the 20th minute of play forced Alveley's goalkeeper Saul Pimentel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Pimentel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnoldo Urtzi went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Arnoldo Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Urtzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Saul Pimentel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Bran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Alveley's Paolo Serrano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Leiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Guanaja Islanders got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Bran. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Paolo Serrano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Juan Leiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Guanaja Islanders were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoldo Urtzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Guanaja Islanders's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Bran in the 53rd minute. The corner led Guanaja Islanders's Hugo Bran to fire away a dangerous shot which Saul Pimentel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Arnoldo Urtzi came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Guanaja Islanders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Urtzi couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Arnoldo Urtzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanaja Islanders's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Urtzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Pimentel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldo Urtzi took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saul Pimentel. Saul Pimentel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Arnoldo Urtzi struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Saul Pimentel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guanaja Islanders. Guanaja Islanders's Arnoldo Urtzi got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alveley's Saul Pimentel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Urtzi in the 89th minute of play. When the match was over Guanaja Islanders could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alveley throughout the match.
