The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Shenley United's Edgardo Gamero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Shenley United from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Corpeño kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. When Malvern AFC's Rafael Reyes in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shenley United's goalie prevented a goal. If Alfredo Corpeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Posadas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Orozco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Posadas ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the game, Will Renderos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gabriel Orozco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Manuel Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26thth minute of the game Rafael Reyes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shenley United's Edgardo Gamero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Reyes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgardo Gamero came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Reyes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute, Shenley United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel Moreira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gabriel Orozco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Will Renderos in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolás Peredes during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malvern AFC's Nicolás Peredes got a free kick in the 40th minute. Rafael Reyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Gamero having to make a save. With a little luck, Shenley United's Edgardo Gamero got control of the ball when Manuel Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 played minutes Shenley United got a freekick which was hit by Henry Salazar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 53 minutes, Wilmer Ocampo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malvern AFC and the Shenley United players grew even worse after the yellow card. 55 minutes in the game Henry Salazar got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Malvern AFC's Gabriel Orozco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Corpeño in the 60th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Malvern AFC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Velis. Guillermo Posadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Orozco having to interfere. After some careless play in the Malvern AFC defense, Guillermo Posadas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Orozco. The Malvern AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Orozco should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Malvern AFC's Manuel Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Gamero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guillermo Posadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Orozco having to interfere. Nicolás Peredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Edgardo Gamero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Posadas struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Gabriel Orozco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shenley United. After a rather tough play, Malvern AFC's Alonso Pedrozo got a free kick in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Malvern AFC's Gabriel Orozco got control of the ball when Guillermo Posadas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guillermo Posadas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Gabriel Orozco made a huge save. The Shenley United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
