Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ulises Paz got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the game, Shenley United's Will Renderos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Orellana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Guillermo Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Francisco Orellana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Guillermo Posadas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Francisco Orellana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18thth minute of the game Ulises Paz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shenley United's Edgardo Gamero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Corpeño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Orellana having to interfere. Edgardo Gamero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Paz's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Alfredo Corpeño kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Zelvin Navas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Redruth booed when Shenley United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Corpeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Redruth's Ulises Paz, in the 37th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Redruth. Zelvin Navas kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute Will Renderos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Orellana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Will Renderos was the one to do the kick off. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Redruth's goalie and right to Alfredo Corpeño. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Redruth's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Redruth's Francisco Orellana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Redruth from getting a goal against them. Francisco Orellana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Posadas went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the game, Alfredo Corpeño was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shenley United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redruth the free kick. A collision led to Shenley United getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alfredo Corpeño hit a great ball. Shenley United's Will Renderos got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Redruth's Francisco Salguero got a free kick in the 76th minute. Will Renderos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zelvin Navas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Shenley United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Shenley United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
