The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Rafael Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milton Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Avilio Cortez struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Milton Collado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malvern AFC. Avilio Cortez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alfredo Leguizamon hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Harold Hill's Milton Collado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Harold Hill from getting a goal against them. Manuel Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Milton Collado made a huge save. Elias Bermudez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Gabriel Orozco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Malvern AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erick Talia to maneuver through the defense. The tension between the Malvern AFC and the Harold Hill players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Nicolás Peredes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Malvern AFC's Nicolás Peredes got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Joselito Aguirrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Malvern AFC booed when Harold Hill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zelvin Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Joselito Aguirrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Harold Hill supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Harold Hill would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
