Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wilber Medina took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes in the game, Wilber Medina fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without David Villalobos having to interfere. Gabriel Velis kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitworth's goalkeeper Januario Olmedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leopoldo Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 minutes, Dennys Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Longwell Green and the Whitworth players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Longwell Green getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dennys Messias hit a great ball. The supporters of Whitworth booed when Longwell Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilmer Bautista didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dennys Messias was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Longwell Green:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Whitworth:s goal. Wilber Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Villalobos having to interfere. Leopoldo Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Villalobos having to make a save. Wilber Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Zapata's late challenge caught a Longwell Green's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Zapata helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Whitworth! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Patricio Brizuela made the kick off in the second half. If Wilber Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Leopoldo Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Wilber Medina made a precise shot to the right of David Villalobos. Longwell Green's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Whitworth's Wilber Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Villalobos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Lara's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Wilber Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Emiliano Lozano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Longwell Green defense, Mauricio Anaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Villalobos. The Longwell Green fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Villalobos should have stopped the shot. Leopoldo Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. David Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Lara in the 82nd minute of play. Wilber Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leopoldo Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Anaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. David Villalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Whitworth's Leopoldo Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Villalobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 96 minutes, Mauricio Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitworth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Anaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauricio Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Villalobos having to interfere. Whitworth's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
