The audience was convinced that Claudio Botello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Rico was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The attack was good, but when Claudio Botello in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Rey got free with Arnoldo Rico in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Andrés Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Orozco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Botello to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Claudio Botello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnoldo Rico. Gatwick FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Botello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Arnoldo Rico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Botello's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Claudio Botello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gatwick FC's Arnoldo Rico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Gatwick FC defense, Edgardo Rey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnoldo Rico. The Gatwick FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnoldo Rico should have stopped the shot. Arnoldo Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Botello in the 61st minute of play. Edgardo Rey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Arnoldo Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Edgardo Rey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coulsdon and the Gatwick FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicolás Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Ismael Orozco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gatwick FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Orozco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 minutes of play, Coulsdon's Edgardo Rey made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnoldo Rico was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicolás Reyes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Alvarez having to interfere. Arnoldo Rico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Botello in the 95th minute of play. If Edgardo Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
