Rene Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Marcelo Guevara made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Angels city's zone, Erick Canales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Guevara came out of the goal and Erick Canales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Rene Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Angels city's Marcelo Guevara got control of the ball when Rene Pimentel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Dunston City's Efren Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Guevara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 31st minute Erick Canales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Guevara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Angels city's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erick Canales fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 40 minutes into the game, one of Angels city:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcelo Guevara had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Lorenzo Hinguanzo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rene Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Marcelo Guevara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Guevara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erick Canales in the 44th minute of play. Rene Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erick Canales to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Dubon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. Angels city's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Erick Canales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marcelo Guevara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Rene Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunston City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Guevara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Rene Pimentel struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Marcelo Guevara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunston City. Angels city's Marcelo Guevara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Pimentel in the 64th minute of play. Erick Canales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70thth minute of the game Erick Canales who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Angels city's Marcelo Guevara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rene Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
